The Mesa Convention Center is a full-service event hi- tech facility located downtown in the suburbs of Mesa, Arizona. The campus is spread over an area of 22 acres and is home to three buildings, A, B and C. The convention center has exhibit space and meeting space along with 15 meeting rooms of varying sizes. There is even an outdoor amphitheater that can accommodate 5,000 people and is popular for hosting outdoor events, festivals and concerts.

There also are a number of restaurants near Mesa Convention Center, which serves as a good landmark for getting around the town.

First up is the The Marriott’s Café Azul which features Mediterranean style cuisine. This casual hang out has a gorgeous fountain and courtyard in the backdrop that adds to the surreal atmosphere of the café. The café dishes out some of the most mouth watering Mediterranean and south west cuisines along with some American favorites. The café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner this café boasts of an interesting menu and courteous staff.

Sweet Cakes Café .8 miles

You’ll love the gourmet sandwiches and bread-bowl soup at Sweet Cakes. Make sure to save room for their famous deserts. The café is located in the heart of downtown Mesa and is a local favorite.

The Red Lobster 2.6 miles

This seafood restaurant is about 2.6 miles from the Mesa Convention Center. It is open from Mondays through Thursdays and on Sundays from 11 am until 10 pm and on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am until 11 pm. The attire is casual and offer in dining as well as take away. It accepts major credit cards, has a television in the indoor dining area and is wheel chair accessible. The crab and Maine lobster served in the restaurant are fresh, tender and delicious, as also the Cheddar biscuits.

Ah-So Japanese Restaurant 3.4 milesAs the name suggests, Ah-So is a Japanese restaurant. The Teppanyaki dinners are fun to watch and great to eat. The chefs are extremely talented and can keep customers entertained during the food preparation process. Teppanyaki dinners in the restaurant are served with veggies, fried rice and soup. In addition, the restaurant serves a little bit of sushi and some interesting appetizers, such as pickled octopus salad and boiled and seasoned soybeans. The restaurant is about 3.4 miles from the Mesa Convention Center.

Toby Keith’s – I Love This Bar and Grill 3.7 miles

That’s right, this home cooked and southern style restaurant is named after the famous Country and Western Singer, Toby Keith. This local hot-spot features country music, dancing and big screen TVs. Show off to your date and ride the mechanical bull. This restaurant/bar features the only guitar shaped bar in Phoenix. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Pink Pepper 4.6 miles

Pink Pepper was named the Best of Phoenix restaurant by the Phoenix New Times and the restaurant is popular for its Thai cuisine. It is located about 4.6 miles from the Mesa Convention Center. Some of the popular dishes on the menu include Szechuan String Beans, Spicy Eggplant, Lettuce Wraps and Honey or Spicy Walnut Prawns. Pink Pepper has a full wine list for wine aficionados.

Swift’s Restaurant and Lounge 5.18 miles

Located about 5.18 miles from the Mesa Convention Center, Swift’s Restaurant and Lounge offers delicious Caribbean cuisine. Soups, stews and authentic Caribbean soul food are part of its menu. The vibrant restaurant ambience makes it a popular place to hang out. In addition, it also hosts live musical shows that attracts a fair bit of crowd.
