Laveen is located just eight miles southwest of downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Originally the area was settled by farmers and dairymen, it is becoming more and more urbanized. As the price of homes in metro-Phoenix started to rise, hombuilders looked for an inexpensive area to buy land and build. Laveen was the perfect place. Many new subdivisions were created in the past six years. The phrase 'drive until you qualify' certainly had Laveen in mind. Shopping and restaurants followed the homebuilders to Laveen. It's a great area with a small town feel even though it's just a short drive from downtown Phoenix.
